Capital Funds
The Marion County Housing Authority receives Capital Funds administered by the Public and Indian Housing Office. The Capital Fund provides funds, annually, to Public Housing Agencies (PHAs) for the development, financing, and modernization of public housing developments and for management improvements. The funds may not be used for luxury improvements, direct social services, cost funded by other HUD programs, and ineligible activities as determined by HUD on a case-by-case basis.
Marion County Housing Authority receives approximately $700,000.00 per year. We use the funds on all of the properties to repair roofs, sewer systems, replace cabinets, etc.
