SPRING 2010 NEWS
2010 U.S. Census
The U.S. Census counts every resident in the United States, and is required by the Constitution to take place every 10 years.
The 2010 Census will help communities receive more than $400 billion in federal funds each year for things like:
Hospitals
Job training centers
Schools
Senior centers
Bridges, tunnels and other-public works projects
Emergency services
The census forms have already been mailed to households in our area.
The 2010 Census form is just 10 questions, such as:
Name
Sex
Age
Date of birth
Hispanic origin
Race
Household relationship
Once you get your form in the mail, fill it in and mail it back in the postage-paid envelope provided.
We cannot over emphasize the importance of filling out your census form and returning it.
If you don't mail the form back, you may receive a visit from a census taker, who will ask you the questions from the form.

The only way gas cans be stored in storage buildings is if their contents are empty. There is to be no gas stored in storage buildings. This is a HUD violation and Marion County Housing Authority and the tenants are penalized for tenants who store gas in the units.
Due to insurance regulations we can no longer allow any type of pools on Marion County Housing Authority property. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
Marion County Housing would like to stress the importance of Renter’s Insurance. The Housing Authority’s insurance does not cover your personal property. Your valuable possessions are not protected without Renter’s Insurance.
The carbon monoxide detectors and smoke detectors are installed for your family’s safety. Make sure you change the batteries often.
